I’ve stood in front of the nail polish aisle and played the guessing game countless times. You know that one female that's ogling at shades, putting polishes near her hand as a barometer, only to eventually be disappointed when wearing it at home. I'm sure you've all been there like I have, but with a little research and experimenting I've come up with some nail polish colors that look great with darker skin tones.

Complement your deep skin tone with nail polishes that offer a huge impact.While every shade of polish looks amazing on the dark skin, these are my picks for the best shades.
Red.While almost every red looks amazing with dark skin tones, I believe that deep reds work well with darker skin tones and give a slight variation.So when you're buying your nail polish think full, rich shades that you might find in gemstones or red wine.
2. Pink. This color on darker skin tones is a bit sketchy if it is a light baby pink but if the correct shade is chosen it can be gorgeous.So stay clear of lighter pinks and try a fuschia or neon pink.
3. Purple.Darker skin tones can wear darker purples as well as pastel purples equally well but because there are so many shades you should try a universal shade that holds a darker berry-tint to it
4. Blue.For our melanin poppin' skin, we need to embrace the brightest cobalt shades, which will really stand out next to your skin.So a baby or heather blue would be just about right.
5. Nude. The nude color palette has been the trend for lipgloss and lipstick and now it's onto the nails.It just so happens that it looks amazing on darker skin.According to Elle "cream and beige nail polishes with sheer, jellylike formulas win again." and she was absolutely right.
6. Orange. Now this color adds a very pretty and warming glow to our skin and complements darker complexions beautifully. Honestly, using the entire spectrum of orange with cool designs is the way to go when it comes to nails.
